A recent article that was published in “The Providence Journal” (Rhode Island) reported that public schools in the Commonwealth of Virginia are reminding parents that their children can take advantage of many educational games on Thinkfinity.org, a website sponsored by the Verizon Foundation. These brain-games were designed to help children refresh their skills in language, math and science — particularly during the holidays when students will be away from school on break. One parent noted that the telecommunications giant is well known for its support of public education. “I’m very glad that Verizon is one of the principal Internet service providers in my area” he was quoted as saying.
