When it was time to upgrade my broadband connection, I was not sure how to find high speed internet providers in my area. A co-worker told me about this great website that does a lot of the homework for prospective buyers so that the fact-gathering and decision-making process is simplified. For instance, this website had three of the top DSL providers in the country reviewed, and the states their networks reached were listed as well. I located two providers that offered service to my state, and I could click on a link provided to check availability. I found out that both of them offered service to my address, so then I could compare them side by side to see which packages and speeds they offered made the most sense for my particular situation.

This is certainly one of the simplest ways of locating internet service providers in my area. Had I tried to make phone calls to all of the ISPs who advertised in my local market, I would have wasted a lot of time. Now, I can take that extra time I saved for more important things like using the internet for work and entertainment. This particular resource is quite valuable for anyone who might be relocating as well. Being able to identify who the players are at your new address and arranging service ahead of time will minimize downtime.
